The Youth Football Foundation supports streetfootballworld, a project in the field of street football, initiated in 2003. The project facilitates and manages a global network of initiatives and projects applying street football or soccer as a mean of personal and social development in order to optimise soft skills. Furthermore, two projects have been implemented during the FIFA World Cup in 2006 in Germany: a festival that was part of the official cultural programme and a School World Cup. The German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ), the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as well as the DFB (German-Football-Association)- Kulturstiftung supported the project within the framework of a public-private partnership.
